Official Rules - Villages Got Talent

1. ELIGIBILITY

Open to magicians, musicians, singers, comedians, and variety acts. Performers may be professional or amateur but must not be signed exclusively to a talent agent, record label, or management company. There is no age restriction.

2. PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES

All acts must be family-friendly and suitable for a general audience. Maximum performance time: 4 minutes. Acts must be self-contained - minimal setup, no large staging requirements. No pyrotechnics, live animals, or open flames are permitted. Backing tracks must be provided in advance and clearly labeled. All acts must arrive at least 2 hours prior to showtime for check-in and tech review.

3. PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS

Each act must supply a high-resolution promotional image and a short promo video for review and marketing use. Materials must be submitted by the deadline provided upon registration.

4. TECHNICAL NEEDS

Limited tech support will be provided. Bring your own props, instruments, and any specialty items. Wireless mics, basic stage lighting, and sound will be available.

5. VOTING & WINNER SELECTION

The winner will be determined by audience vote during the show. In the event of a tie, judges will cast the final decision.

6. PRIZE

The winner will receive $1,000 cash and a paid booking at an upcoming show in The Villages, and a professionally filmed and edited sizzle reel created by a pro videographer to help promote their talent. The prize is non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded.

7. LEGAL & MEDIA

By participating, performers grant permission to be photographed, filmed, or recorded for promotional use. VGT reserves the right to disqualify any act for lateness, inappropriate content, or failure to follow rules.

8. ENTRY PROCESS

Registration must be completed at www.WandPresents.com/vgt in advance. Walk-ons will not be accepted. Limited slots available - early sign-up is encouraged.
